Q&A: Which LIGHTWEIGHT Vacuum has the best suction?

Question by daa: Which LIGHTWEIGHT Vacuum has the best suction?
Yes, I do realize that no lightweight vacuum will compare with a full-size. I’m looking for a light vacuum, with reasonably good suction for quick, every day or two vacuuming of the main living areas. I have hard floors, with a couple of wool pile area rugs. I’ll still use a full-size vacuum for the weekly cleaning. Suggestions?

I like my Oreck, it does a fairly good job, and it transitions from hard floors to carpet without adjusting.

Its only 8 pounds, so it is very lightweight and is now ergonomically designed so it doesn’t hurt your back either! I bought mine from the Jon Don janitorial website. $ 189 plus $ 20 for shipping, so the cost is quite economical as well.
